LEGACY #152:

LEGACY #152:A Tribute to Lemmy & Motörhead: With the discovery of an archived and never-before-published interview conducted by our current editor Wedekind Gisberton with Lemmy at Wacken in 1997, the time was finally ripe! Over 22 pages, we celebrate the greatest hero of Rock 'n' Roll, Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, and the loudest band of all, Motörhead. Alongside a historical overview of the band and their music, Legacy explores two key questions: Who was Lemmy really? And what remains of him? With insights from interviews with longtime companions and friends such as Phil Campbell, Mikkey Dee, Ute Kromrey, Tom Angelripper, and many others, we embark on a journey of discovery. We also present the best graphic novels and comics about Lemmy and Motörhead. To complete this massive special, there is an exclusive sampler CD featuring the coolest Motörhead cover songs produced by the Metal scene, plus interviews with the bands themselves.

Amid all this nostalgia and joy for the world’s loudest band, we don't forget the present: Winterfylleth's new album, “The Imperious Horizon”, emerges as a surprising Soundcheck winner (including an interview). As always, Legacy editors were out in full force at various summer festivals, providing detailed live reports on the Masters Of Rock in the Czech Republic, our beloved Party.San festival, as well as Summer Breeze and Tolminator Fest in Slovenia (with Gerre of Tankard reporting for us).

True to Legacy’s spirit, we offer a vibrant journey through all the new autumn releases – from the return of Black Metal avantgardists Trelldom and Modern Metal hopefuls High Parasite to Deathcore titans Oceano, it's all here. And yes, even more nostalgia: Alex Hellid of Entombed joined us for an exclusive talk about the future of Death Metal!
